Goals and Objectives
2018-2021
- Goal: To merge Blue Ridge Area Foundation, Inc. and Western North Carolina Group Home for Autistic Persons, Inc. into one legal entity called BlueWest Opportunities, Inc.
- The CEO will develop a written action plan that outlines steps needed to move the affiliation relationship into single entity status. This outline will be developed by December 31, 2018.
- The Management team will implement 100% of actions steps to facilitate the merger according to state, federal and local rules, standards and regulations by July 1, 2019.
- Goal: To prioritize and plan for asset replacement and improvement needs.
- The Management Team will complete an inventory of assets and prioritize replacement and repair needs that reflect inventory status by December 31, 2018.
- The Management Team will develop and implement the prioritized list to address replacements, upgrades and repair work by June 30, 2019.
- The Board of Directors and Management Team will create a bi-annual giving initiative targeting 100 potential donors by June 30, 2019.
- Goal: To diversify Program/Service offerings for persons served.
- The Management Team will propose ICF conversion concept to DHHS personnel by August 31, 2021.
- Goal: To identify candidates for assessment of needed supports who desire integrated living opportunities.
- Objective 1: Conduct Interdisciplinary Team information sessions to provide information on models of integrated living opportunities and how supports can be provided with technology assistance. Monthly sessions, on-going.
- Objective 2: Conduct individual client and guardian meetings to provide information on models of integrated living opportunities and how they can be supported in these models. On-going, as needed.
- Objective 3: Prioritize top 3 transitions by determining level of interest in alternative services. By February 1, 2019.
- Goal: To increase organizational preparedness for community transitions.
- Objective 1: Purchase Independent Futures Curriculum or similar training models for use in staff training. By October 1, 2018.
- Objective 2: Develop concept for initial Community Transition Team roles (descriptions). By October 1, 2018.
- Objective 3: Increase Person Centered Training and the CARE philosophy as it relates to participant services across agency. On-going.
- Goal: Fully meets HCBS standards for all participants of Gwen Rash and MOC’s
- Objective 1: Conduct internal assessments to measure compliance. Annually, on-going.
- Objective 2: Identify initial changes in policies and procedures to allow compliance with applicable standards. By March 15, 2019.
- Goal: To improve the staff engagement, development and retention.
- The HR department will provide a monthly training topic to directors, managers and supervisors that focus on Servant Leadership for 12 months by June 30, 2019.
- The Executive Leadership, Director and Manager level personnel will participate in formal training to improve effective communication skills by October 1, 2018.
- The HR department will implement events and activities focused on employee engagement, appreciation and retention each month for 12 consecutive months by June 30, 2019.
